Der rote Sandstein scheint den Fluss Carnock Burn je nach Lichteinfall rot einzufärben; das ist auf meiner Aufnahme weniger zu sehen, dafür waren meine Hose und der Fotorucksack gerötet. She was built in Girvan in 1948. In 1976 she was badly damaged by fire while moored in Loch Eriboll. Diesmal wollte ich ein wenig Höhe gewinnen in der Hoffnung, verschiede Perspektiven auf die Landschaft zu erhalten. Beim Hochsteigen ist mir dann aber der gelbe Farn im Bachbett aufgefallen. Also runtergeklettert und ja, das kann ein schönes Bild geben. Leider sieht man nichts von der Landschaft (die war ohnehin regenverhangen - allerdings mit Regenbogen), aber das Bild gefällt mir trotzdem ausserordentlich gut. Bei der Langzeitaufnahme mit Graufilter gab es beim Farn Bewegungsunschärfe, deshalb habe ich dort eine kürzer belichtete zweite Aufnahme verwendet. ----------------------------------------------------------------- One of Scotland's many stunning landscapes, Glencoe is a favorite with photographers. This time I wanted to gain a little height in hopes of getting different perspectives of the landscape. But when I climbed up, I noticed the yellow fern in the creek bed. So climbed down and yes, that can give a nice picture. Unfortunately, you can't see anything of the landscape (which was overcast anyway - albeit with a rainbow), but I still really like the picture. Als Betrachter, als der ich mich auch immer ein wenig als Voyeur empfinde, weiss ich nicht recht, ob nun die Person drin einsam ist, oder ich als aussen (und hier sogar in regnerischer Kälte) Stehender? ----------------------------------------------------------------- I like Edward Hopper's pictures, where you often look inside from the outside and which exude a certain melancholy and loneliness. Keines der dort gemachten Fotos hat mich aber überzeugt, dafür gefällt mir dieses ganz gut, das ich am Abend zuvor auf einem Felssporn in Trestrignel bei Perros-Guirec gemacht hatte. Trotz der Dämmerung habe ich noch ein Pol- und ein Graufilter für diese Aufnahme verwendet. ----------------------------------------------------------------- I had planned another picture - at Port de Locquemeau, about 20 km away, where thousands of scallops are scattered in a bizarre lunar landscape. But none of the photos taken there convinced me, but I like this one quite well, which I took the evening before on a rocky spur in Trestrignel near Perros-Guirec. Diese an der Pointe du Diben gefällt mir besonders gut. Vor der Weiterreise am Morgen bin ich nochmal hingefahren, weil die Stimmung und das Wetter vielversprechend waren. Nach einigem herumklettern und suchen von schönen Perspektiven war ich schon auf dem Rückweg, als sich plötzlich dieser Regenbogen zeigte. Da kam Hektik auf, einerseits weil ich nicht darauf gefasst war und andererseits weil es zu regnen begann und sich Regentropfen auf der Linse sammelten. In der Hektik fand ich auch kein geeignetes Wischtuch und versuchte mich mit den Kleidern zu behelfen. Es war zum Verzweifeln. Mit dem Ergebnis bin ich aber nun doch recht zufrieden. Das Bild 1/5 ist für die Ausstellung im Herbst 2022 reserviert und erst dann verkäuflich. ----------------------------------------------------------------- The north coast of Brittany is rich in impressive stone and rock formations. I particularly like this one at the Pointe du Diben. Before continuing my journey in the morning, I went there again because the mood and the weather were promising. After some climbing around and looking for nice perspectives, I was already on my way back when suddenly this rainbow appeared. There was a rush, on the one hand because I wasn't prepared for it and on the other hand because it started to rain and raindrops collected on the lens. In the rush, I couldn't find a suitable cloth and tried to get by with my clothes. It was exasperating. But now I'm quite satisfied with the result. At low tide, the private island can be reached and circled on foot. This photo was taken at low tide on the land bridge; shortly afterwards the foreground was again under water. Die Wahl fiel auf diese Bucht und während ich noch den geeigneten Kamerastandort ausfindig machen wollte, streunerte ein Hund am Strand herum und der hätte auch gut auf die Foto gepasst. The choice fell on this bay and while I was still trying to find the right camera location, a dog was wandering around on the beach and it would have fit in well with the photo. Aber gerade jedes Mal kann ich bei diesem Gedanken nicht anhalten und mit etwas Wehmut sind wir weiter gefahren - bis nach einigen Kilometern die Strasse gesperrt war. Meistens sind solche Überraschungen ärgerlich, hier hatte ich aber die Gelegenheit auf dem Rückweg die Szenerie doch noch abzulichten. Das ist übrigens das erste Bild, das ich auf dem eigenen Drucker hergestellt habe. ----------------------------------------------- We passed this snow-covered machine on the way south on Andøya and I thought (as often): "That would be a nice photo subject". But every time I can't stop at this thought and with a little sadness we drove on - until after a few kilometers the road was closed. Usually such surprises are annoying, but here I had the opportunity to take picture of the scenery on the way back. Ich konnte die Insel bei passendem dramatischem Wetter besuchen und schöne Fotos machen. Ein Teil dieser Fotos wurden in der Zeitschrift "Scottish Field" veröffentlicht. ----------------------------------------------------------------- The Hebridean island of Staffa in Scotland is known for its basalt columns, Fingal's Cave and Felix Mendelssohn's Hebridean Overture. I was able to visit the island in suitable dramatic weather and take beautiful photos. I had taken this picture before my last downhill skiing of the day; down to Zermatt in this memorable light. ---- Der Hohtälligrat ist der Verbindungsgrat zwischen dem Gornergrat und dem Hohtälli auf rund 3800 Metern Höhe. Links ist der Gornergletscher zu sehen, im Hintergrund das Matterhorn. Ich machte das Bild vor meiner letzten Abfahrt des Tages in diesem unvergesslichen Licht.
