The Devil's Pulpit | Ein steiler Weg, wahlweise "Teufelstreppe" oder "Jakobsleiter" genannt, führt in die Schlucht Finnich Glen in Schottland. Der rote Sandstein scheint den Fluss Carnock Burn je nach Lichteinfall rot einzufärben; das ist auf meiner Aufnahme weniger zu sehen, dafür waren meine Hose und der Fotorucksack gerötet.
"Teufelskanzel" ist eine Felsformation in der Schlucht.

A steep path, alternatively called "Devil's Stairs" or "Jacob's Ladder", leads into the Finnich Glen in Scotland. The red sandstone seems to tint the river Carnock Burn red depending on the light; you can't see that much in my photo, but my trousers and the photo backpack were reddened.
"Devil's Pulpit" is a rock formation in the gorge.

Monet | Ich kann die Faszination des Malers Claude Monet für Seerosen nachvollziehen. Besonders gut gefallen mir hier im botanischen Garten von Mauritius die halbtransparenten Ränder der Blätter im Gegenlicht.

I can understand the painter Claude Monet's fascination with water lilies. I particularly like the semi-transparent edges of the leaves in the backlight here in the botanical garden of Mauritius.

floating cake tins | Die Seerosenblätter im Botanischen Garten auf Mauritus sehen aus wie schwimmende Backbleche.
In dieser Gegenlichtaufnahme kommt die Maserung der Ränder sehr schön zur Geltung.
