Gemäss undiscoveredscotland.co.uk handelt es sich um das Fischerboot "The Reaper", das 1976 durch einen Brand schwer beschädigt wurde und seither hier verrottet. ----------------------------------------------------------------- On the shore beneath Talmine are the remains of a fishing boat, The Reaper, registration WK87. She was built in Girvan in 1948. In 1976 she was badly damaged by fire while moored in Loch Eriboll. Aber gerade jedes Mal kann ich bei diesem Gedanken nicht anhalten und mit etwas Wehmut sind wir weiter gefahren - bis nach einigen Kilometern die Strasse gesperrt war. Meistens sind solche Überraschungen ärgerlich, hier hatte ich aber die Gelegenheit auf dem Rückweg die Szenerie doch noch abzulichten. Das ist übrigens das erste Bild, das ich auf dem eigenen Drucker hergestellt habe. ----------------------------------------------- We passed this snow-covered machine on the way south on Andøya and I thought (as often): "That would be a nice photo subject". But every time I can't stop at this thought and with a little sadness we drove on - until after a few kilometers the road was closed. Usually such surprises are annoying, but here I had the opportunity to take picture of the scenery on the way back.
