Ich weiss nicht, woher das Licht hinter den Bäumen kommt und schon gar nicht, wieso es eine so scharfe Abgrenzungslinie erzeugt. Sieht aber interessant aus. There was never as much snow in the whole winter as in early April. I don't know where the light behind the trees comes from, let alone why it creates such a sharp demarcation line. Die Stelle habe ich etwas später in der Dämmerung wieder aufgesucht und den Brunnen mit der Taschenlampe angeleuchtet. Das Licht im Hintergrund ist das Restlicht des Tages; der Mond ging etwas später auf. ----------------------------------------------------------------- I was amazed to find this bubbling fountain in the deep snow and don't know why it doesn't freeze over. Ich bevorzuge allgemein und in der Landschaftsfotografie speziell das Querformat und ich bemühe mich, bereits bei der Aufnahme den endgültigen Ausschnitt festzulegen. Hier habe ich zuerst das Querformat stark beschnitten (14mm Brennweite war die falsche Wahl), dann Hochformat versucht und bin schliesslich beim Quadrat gelandet. Das finde ich hier passend. Grönbach in the snow I struggled with the format of this picture. In general and in landscape photography in particular, I prefer the landscape format and I try to determine the final detail when taking the picture. Here I first cropped the landscape format heavily (14mm focal length was the wrong choice), then tried portrait format and ended up with the square. Von hier aus ist der Thunersee und der Niesen zu sehen und das ganze Alpenpanorama. HIer, kurz vor dem nächsten Schneefall, hatte ich vergebens gehofft, dass sich kurz ein Fenster zum Niesen auftut. Die Aufnahme gefällt mir aber auch so. Auf dem Rückweg kam ich zu dieser Stelle, wo vermutlich ein Bauer mit Traktor und Anhänger Spuren in den Neuschnee gezogen hatte, was zusammen mit Niesen, Baum, Scheune und sogar den Siloballen (die ich sonst für eine ästhetische Zumutung halte) ein reizvolles Ensemble ergaben. ----------------------------------------------- On this beautiful winter morning I was out and about with the camera above Sigriswil to take photos of the fresh snow and the sea of fog over Lake Thun. Aber gerade jedes Mal kann ich bei diesem Gedanken nicht anhalten und mit etwas Wehmut sind wir weiter gefahren - bis nach einigen Kilometern die Strasse gesperrt war. Meistens sind solche Überraschungen ärgerlich, hier hatte ich aber die Gelegenheit auf dem Rückweg die Szenerie doch noch abzulichten. Das ist übrigens das erste Bild, das ich auf dem eigenen Drucker hergestellt habe. ----------------------------------------------- We passed this snow-covered machine on the way south on Andøya and I thought (as often): "That would be a nice photo subject". Links ist der Gornergletscher zu sehen, im Hintergrund das Matterhorn. Ich machte das Bild vor meiner letzten Abfahrt des Tages in diesem unvergesslichen Licht. Der Nebel war auch nicht einladend, weiter in die Höhe zu steigen, aber er gab eine schöne Stimmung für das Foto ab. ----------------------------------------------- The intention was to deposit the mountain bike at the alpine hut and hike up the Hohgant, but there was still too much snow.
